We designed an alternative water supply route for KENGEN in order to increase their water intake from Mombasa Water Supply and Sanitation Company (MOWASSCO) Birikani Reservoirs. This increased their water intake from 28M³ a day to 240M³ a day. This was as a result of the integration of LOWARA GHV20 & SMB20 BOOSTER SETS into their system.

The Lowara GHV series booster sets are fully automatic booster sets for water supply, water pressure increase and water transfer in public buildings, industries and other water applications. The GHV series is equipped with 1 to 4 e-SV vertical multistage pumps, each one fitted with a Hydrovar HVL variable frequency drive, pressure transmitters and a control panel, all mounted on a frame for easy installation. This set is designed for maximum energy efficiency and can communicate with a BMS system via Modbus or BACnet.

The SMB series is a variable speed booster sets range, designed for water pressure boosting and transfer. In application the SMB Booster Sets have been designed to supply water Rejected water from the Reverse Osmosis Plant to be used in The Plant’s Utilities so as to save on water. This system is designed to detect water leakages along the plant with an automatic cut off switch in case a leak is detected.

This project was commissioned in July 2020 and has been in operation without defects. The project has save KENGEN KIPEVU over 35 Million shillings up to September 2020.

ELDORET WATER (KIPKENYO WASTE TREATMENT WORKS): GODWIN PUMP (HL 100M)

We have supplied a slurry pump HL 100 M to Eldoret Water and Sanitation Company Limited.

The Godwin pump is used to drain the waste water in the ponds of the sewer treatment works at Kipkenyo.

Lowara Horizontal Multistage Pump

This pump was installed in Chebara Treatment Works for Eldoret Water. The Pumps is used to pump treated water to a storage tank about 5km away then it is distributed to the community living around the Treatment Works through gravity.

The Pumps has been operational and giving a great performance for a year now and it has been serving ELDOWAS well.
